(More customer reviews)this is the perfect affordable 10" standard filter for reducing chlorine and chloramine in NYC tap water.i keep freshwater planted fish tanks, and drink a gallon of tap water each day, so popping this filter into a cheap counter top enclosure was the best water investment I could make.
in my experience - even though this 1-micron filter is rated at 6 months for full 50,000 gallons of use on a main water line system, you can easily go a year or two before changing it on any over or under counter system where you consume only a fraction of this filters processing capacity.
